Kate grew up playing multiple sports, and has had a passion for health and wellness since she was a teenager watching her mom’s quality of life significantly improve while working with a truly skilled physical therapist.  She took this passion into college, double-majoring in Exercise Science and Psychology.  After undergrad, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis and has since been in the therapy field since 2010.

She has a passion for learning that is driven by the needs of her clients, finding root causes of persistent and recurrent issues, with a strong focus on client autonomy.  She has continued her education through multiple mentorships and courses (including Hesch, Runner’s Symposium, ASTYM, LTAP, MovementRev, MIQ, PCES, Next Level Neuro, Integrative Dry Needling).

Branch and Body was founded by Kate after years of observing the limitations of insurance-based care, where care is often limited to rehabilitating someone back to their baseline prior to injury.  Seeing a need for a space where clients could build partnerships with a provider for optimization and maintenance, Kate built Branch and Body to provide one-on-one care tailored to the individual client, with a focus on wellness instead of reactionary medicine.

PT, DPT, CIDN, NLN

Kate works with a variety of clients in age and demographic – with the commonality being people who plan to be well and believe that prevention is the best medicine.

From runners working on their PR who don’t have time for injuries, to people who have “completed” all their treatment and still believe their better is possible.  From the dad who knows wrestling his kid is a contact sport he wants to play for years, to the person whose balance just seems “off” in the garden - Kate specializes in meeting you where you are and giving you the tools to get you where you want to go.
